Get Your Return or Payment to Us On Time
A return mailed through the U.S. Post Office will be considered timely if it is received at the Vermont Department of Taxes within three (3) business days of the due date. If you mail your check or money order, the payment is considered timely if we receive your payment within three (3) business days after the due date of the tax return.
