FEDERAL / STATE E-FILING PROGRAM
Available Mid-January
Vermont participates in this program where you can file your client’s Vermont income tax return and property tax program with the IRS income tax return at the same time. Refunds generally issue in 5 business days or less and client’s have the option for direct deposit of the refund.
You first need to apply with the IRS to be an E-File Provider.

Remember – the due date for this form is April 15.

On-line credit card payment system available to pay:
- 2003 Vermont individual income tax
- 2004 Vermont individual income estimated payments
- Tax bill from the Vermont Department of Taxes
There is a convenience fee for payments over $200. The fee is charged and retained by the credit card provided.

Easy, on-line filing and payment system available at www.state.vt.us/tax to file clients’ sales & use tax return, meals & rooms tax return or income tax withholding return. When you use VTBizFile, you also get a filing history record. VTBizFile can be used to file zero tax due returns, too. You will need your client’s personal identification number (PIN) to use the system.
There is a convenience fee for payments over $200 which covers the cost of operating VTBizFile and goes to the service provider.

AVAILABLE FOR INCOME TAX WTIHHOLDING ONLY
You can file the return and make payment for your client’s Vermont income tax withholding through the EFT program. Employers withholding $9,000 or more per quarter are required to use EFT. Other employers may elect to use EFT
