Due to scheduled maintenance, the Tax Department website (tax.vermont.gov) and the myVTax taxpayer portal (myvtax.vermont.gov) will be unavailable from 8-10 p.m. EST on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025.
In addition, myVTax will be unavailable between 12 p.m. EST (noon) on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, and 12 p.m. EST (noon) on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025.
As we complete scheduled maintenance on the myVTax taxpayer portal, taxpayer phone service will be unavailable between noon and 4:30 p.m. EST on Jan. 10, 2025. Phone service will resume on Monday, Jan. 13, 2025, at 7:45 a.m.
Federal, state, and local government entities issue Form 1099-G to notify taxpayers of funds received in the previous tax year. For example, Vermonters who received Unemployment Compensation in the previous tax year would receive a 1099-G from the Vermont Department of Labor showing the amount of unemployment income they received.
