State Holiday Closures

The Vermont Department Taxes is closed on certain State holidays.* Staff are unavailable by phone, email, or for in-person appointments. During holiday closures you may still reach us by these methods:

Any legal holiday that falls on a Saturday is observed the preceding Friday.  Any legal holiday that falls on a Sunday is observed the following Monday.

Any tax due date that falls on a holiday is automatically extended to the next business day.
