Oct. 29 Orleans County Capitol for a Day: Education Property Tax, Legislative Changes

MONTPELIER – Gov. Phil Scott, the Vermont Department of Taxes and other state agencies will host meetings in Orleans County on Oct. 29, 2019, as part of the Governor’s Capitol for a Day.

The Department of Taxes will host the following two events:

Understanding Your Education Property Tax
Craig Bolio, acting commissioner, and Douglas Farnham, tax economist and director of policy, Department of Taxes, and Daniel French, secretary, Agency of Education, will lead this session.
Time: 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Location: North Country Career Center, 209 Veterans Ave., Newport

A Discussion on the 2019 Legislative Session, Short-Term Rentals and Prewritten Software Accessed Remotely
Craig Bolio and Douglas Farnham, Department of Taxes, will lead this roundtable discussion.
Time: 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Location: Old Stone House Museum’s “Grammar School” meeting room, 109 Old Stone House Rd., Brownington
