A Letter of Good Standing is available upon request. We issue statements that individuals are in good standing with the Vermont Department of Taxes, which means that all tax liabilities are paid or in an approved payment plan, and all required returns have been filed to date.
These requests are typically made when an individual is seeking employment with the government, obtaining a license, a license renewal, loan settlement, or preforming work as a contractor.
To request a Letter of Good Standing, please provide the following information:
- Name of the individual (First, Middle, Last)
- Social Security Number (SSN)
- Mailing instructions of where the letter is to be mailed, emailed, or faxed
